‘Sea Garden’ is an acrylic polymer painting on canvas by me. It was initially based on coral. Coral-like rocky formations float above the surface of the water, rather than below it. I used a limited palette, which is not something I do often, as I usually saturate my paintings with many colours. I was mainly using reds and blue here, with some Naples yellow/reddish yellows. I wanted an otherworldly effect, of a place again which appears to be uninhabited, a strange world, somewhere that nobody has been to before.
