Woman in a Non-Existent World

My drawing ‘Woman in a Non-Existent World’ was created with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils. In this drawing, there is a surreal quality to it, as the woman standing in the foreground of the picture does not seem quite real. She stares into the distance, but at what? Why is she here, alone, I wonder? She is almost like a statue, if not for the warm colours in her dress and coloured streaks in her hair. The landscape behind, with its mountain peaks and a small waterfall, and the fantastic architecture behind the woman, seems strange. It seems nobody has been to this otherworldly and imaginary place except for the woman, and there is no other sign of life here. There’s a similarity to my drawing, which I created earlier this year, ‘Infinity’, based on a figure-eight pool (see my post from 2 February 2025).
