This is a painting I did on a linen canvas panel with acrylic polymer paint. I love cats, especially ginger cats, and especially fluffy ginger cats with equally fluffy, bouffant tails. I must apologise to my pet cat; he is not fluffy! I did look after a cat some years ago when I lived in Auckland, New Zealand, that fitted the description of a fluffy ginger cat. She was a lovely, friendly cat and inspired me to get another ginger cat! I also love eating pizza. The idea then of a fluffy, ginger cat bringing me a pizza and flying through space is literally ‘out of this world’ to me. Pardon the cliche; I love a bit of humour! The most fun part of painting this picture was the cat’s fluffy tail, which also looks to me like an ocean wave. I hope you enjoy my painting as much as I did when I created it.
