I have a great interest in rocks and crystals, from a very young age (I received a book for Christmas aged 8 years which I still have). I thought this image of a rock was similar to the shape of Australia, apart from leaving off Tasmania. I enjoyed how the image changed as I drew it in various colours and shapes. I used Caran d’Ache Neocolor II Watersoluble colour wax pastels on Arches paper.
